Direct Debit help

The process is simple and fast - just give us a call on 0808 304 9870.

• Sort Code


Share Energy offers two Direct Debit payment options: fixed amount or variable amount.

For the fixed Direct Debit payment option, we'll determine the amount of your Direct Debit, based on the information you provided to us about your expected energy usage. If we don't have that information, we'll use the details that NIE shares with us when you complete your switchover.

Once we have determined your annual usage estimation, we'll divide it into 12 months to allow for simpler budgeting on your part. Confirmation of our calculations will available in your sign up form and welcome pack.

We'll review and confirm your request if it fits within your billing window.

If you miss a Direct Debit payment, we'll try to contact you to let you know and we'll request that you make a payment as soon as possible.

Absolutely - you can do this via the Share Energy app or your Customer Portal.

We'll review your monthly Direct Debit every 6 months to ensure you're not paying too much or too little.

In either case, we may adjust your Direct Debit amount, but we'll contact you to confirm any proposed changes in advance.

Your Direct Debit is linked to your usage over a 12 month period, based on information provided by both yourself and NIE. However some things can affect those payments and if they do, we'll adjust your Direct Debit accordingly. In such cases, we'll contact you to confirm any proposed changes.
